QLD's Leading Skills Program
Since it was started by Adam Darragh in 2008, our Saturday Skills program has grown to become the most successful skills program in Queensland.
Development-First Culture
Every player gets coached, not just the top team. Viperball introduces five year olds to the game, Girls Only gives our girls a program of their own, and Saturday Skills runs for every age and level.
Queensland's Largest Junior Club
We are Queensland's largest junior club, with more than 500 players competing each week across 60 or more teams, and a community of over 1600 behind them.
Our history
From One Saturday Session To Qld's Largest Junior Basketball Club
- 2008Adam Darragh runs the first Saturday Skills session at Varsity College.
- 2010Adam Darragh and Elizabeth Albury incorporate the Vipers Basketball Club.
- 2013The Vipers join the Mens and Womens Premier League.
- 2014Scott McGregor starts the Viperball program for 5–7 year olds.
- 2020The Vipers win the Club Championship.
- 2021The Vipers win the Club Championship for the second time.
- 2022Simon Stevens starts the High Performance Program. The Vipers win the Club Championship for the third time.
- 2023The Girls Only program is launched. The Vipers win the Club Championship for the fourth consecutive year.
- 2024The Vipers win the Club Championship for the fifth consecutive time.
