The Saturday Skills program is designed to teach basketball fundamentals in a family-friendly environment. Sessions are held every Saturday and cater to various age groups:
- Viperball (5-7 years old): 8 am-9 am.
- Boys 8-12 years old: 9 am-10 am.
- Boys 12-18 years old: 10 am-11 am.
- Girls Only Skills (11-18 years old): 10am-11am
The cost is $10 per session for members.
The Saturday Skills program runs every Saturday of the school term. We are closed during school holidays.
It’s simple. You can come in any Saturday or register here. Registration for 2024 is $50, $10 per visit, first visit free. You’ll receive a welcome pack including a Vipers t shirt and water bottle.
Saturday Skills membership is included for all registered winter or summer competition players.
The sessions are designed to cater for new and experienced players at each age group.
Yes. Saturday Skills is suitable for both new and experienced players and is a great place to meet other players and work on your skills with our expert coaches.

We accept players as young as 7 for the U10 age group however we recommend that a child complete at least six months at Saturday Skills before nominating for a team.
The Winter competition funs from February to August. The Summer competition runs from October to December. Registration for the Winter competition opens in the first two weeks of January with team trials over the second two weeks. Registration for the Summer competition opens in September.
You can use a Fairplay voucher for player registration to play in the Summer or Winter competition.
Just upload your voucher when you register.
Uniforms can be purchased through our Store.

Please note that second-hand uniforms are not permitted.
You can collect your new uniform at Saturday Skills between 8am and 11am during the term.
Training sessions are conducted at the Varsity College Basketball Stadium on Assembly Drive, Varsity Lakes. Sessions run for one hour between 4 pm and 7 pm, Monday to Friday.
Your team’s specific training time is based on the coach’s availability.
The competition is held across Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday at the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre, unless stated otherwise.
- Wednesday (6 pm-10 pm): Open Girls, U18 Boys, U21 Boys.
- Friday (5 pm-10 pm): U14 Girls, U14 Boys, U16 Girls, U16 Boys.
- Saturday (8 am-1:30 pm): U10 Girls, U10 Mixed, U12 Girls, U12 Boys.
