In September 2026, Varsity Vipers received a grant from the Australian Government's 2025–26 Volunteer Grants program.
What did the grant pay for?
The grant paid for new basketballs.
What are Volunteer Grants?
Volunteer Grants are small Australian Government grants that help community organisations support their volunteers.
Clubs can use them to buy equipment that their volunteers use every week.
Why does this matter to Varsity Vipers?
Varsity Vipers is run by volunteers. More than 60 volunteers coach, manage teams and run Saturday Skills for more than 500 players.
New basketballs give our volunteer coaches the equipment they need to run a good session.
Thank you to the Australian Government for backing the volunteers who run junior basketball in Varsity Lakes.
